I love guitars, don't ask me why. But more than I love guitars, I love people who don't know how to play guitars, try to play. Have you ever seen a person randomly pick up their friends guitar, steady it upon their lap, adjust their fingers on the strings, stare intimately at the guitar and gracefully brush their fingers on the strings -only t0 produce the most irritating and disruptive sound of music ever? The kind of music that only sounds good in the players mind, as they hear the melody they want to hear, and envision themselves rockin' out in front of thousands. They keep on playing and thinking, "this sounds good" while everyone else is begging them to shut up. Its funny how people think that music is magically going to flow out of their fingers, I love to watch people try to play guitars. I am one of those that picked up a guitar hoping to be a prodigy. I have decided to take guitar lessons and start next week. It is something that I have always wanted to do. I realized that the only time it is ever too late to start something you've always wanted to do, is when your...well dead. I went out to lunch with my dad last month and I told him about how I wanted to take music lessons. He looked at me, and very sincerely heart-breaking said, "I always wanted to do that." I felt really sad when my dad said this because it meant that he had a desire in his heart since he was little boy and 40 years later, it still has not come to pass. Life has a huge "To do List" and I think that sometimes we subdue our hearts longings and desires for dutiful tasks. Life is too short and meaningfull to not walk out your passion. Its only too late when your dead... I really like watching people play guitar.
