One day I had to go to church because I had a meeting. It had just turned night and none of the lights had turned on yet. When I went to open the door of the courtyard that led to the main door of the office, it was completely dark. I took a step back and was about to go back to my car figuring that maybe the meeting had been canceled when I saw a faint light. It was barley peeking through the bottom crease of the main door entrance. That faint light coming from the crease was all that I needed to step into the courtyard towards the unlocked door. All I had to do was follow the light. I was reminded of the famous cliche that "there is always a light at the end of the tunnel." If you feel that you have opened your courtyard door and are standing in the midst of the darkness, take a moment and look for the light. If you have to take a step back and analyze your circumstances, so be it. Look for that light and follow it. As I was walking to the main door, my eyes began to adjust to the darkness and I was able to see more clearly my surroundings. It wasn't as dark as I thought it was. Take a step of faith forward and move to the light that God has called you. Whether is that new job opening, leading a new ministry, ending an unfruitful relationship, opening up your own business, or what ever else it might be. And see if you will not realize that it is not as dark as you may have thought. Its funny how with no physical body of its own, fear has the power to hold you down. Moses had to step into the Red Sea before it parted and Peter had to get out of the boat to walk on water.
